SC State University launches new website offering detailed info for students, families
South Carolina State University on Tuesday unveiled its dynamic, fact-filled new website, a project more than two years in the making.
“Today is an exciting moment in Bulldog Country,” said Sonja Bennett-Bellamy, SC State vice president for communications, marketing and strategic alliances. Visitors to the new www.scsu.edu can easily locate essential information about our beloved HBCU,” said Bennett-Bellamy. “For the first time, SC State has a state-of-the-art marketing tool that delivers thorough details about our top-notch academic programs, departments and services.”
“Perhaps the best thing about this new site is that we can readily update it with news, photos and videos, information about major events, program changes, new personnel and more,” she said. “This site puts SC State front and center in the public’s mind as we continue to grow this amazing university.”
SC State President Alexander Conyers offered congratulations to Bennett-Bellamy and her staff.
“We received essential support and cooperation from administrators, deans, chairpersons and faculty and staff members in building the content for the site,” Conyers said. “I have to credit our team members in University Relations and Marketing for their vision, commitment and perseverance in bringing this much-needed project to fruition.”
Highlights of the new site include:
· An easy-to-navigate menu with links to academics, admissions and a variety of campus resources.
· A complete listing of academic degree programs with descriptions of what students learn in SC State’s majors.
· A keyword search feature on the home page allowing prospective students and parents to immediate locate degree programs of interest.
· A full section about campus life at SC State, including student organizations, housing, activities, student services and more.
· A calendar of campus events.
· A news section with the latest developments about SC State projects and student and faculty accomplishments.
· A searchable faculty-staff directory.

“I cannot say enough about the excellent assistance we received from the designers at Beacon Technologies, the developers at Modern Campus and the content consultants at Ruffalo Noel Levitz,” Bennett-Bellamy said. “The results are incredibly beautiful thanks to their hard work and dedication to this project.”
